A small, opinionated tool for travel timing.
Hi — I'm Manav. I built kairoto because I kept asking the same question every time I planned a trip — when should I go? — and the internet kept giving me back the same shape of answer: a paragraph of generic advice optimised for search engines, not for me.
kairoto reasons through every week of the year for a destination, weighted by what you care about — weather, crowds, cost, daylight, festivals — and explains the answer in plain words. Move a slider, watch the recommendation change. The math is real, the design is mine, and the opinions are not optimised for anyone but you.
This is an early proof-of-concept. Twenty cities, climatology approximated from typical-year data, hand-curated reasoning. Real API integration (Open-Meteo, event feeds, fare baselines) is coming next, along with more destinations and a proper compare view. The shape of the product — sliders, curve, reasoning — is what I'm validating right now.
If you have feedback, a destination request, or a correction — please email me. The site has no analytics, no email collection, and no third parties tracking you — feedback by reply is the only way I'll know what to build next.
